As a focal point of the new master planned development, the 2 story Battalion Headquarters references the local historical adobe architecture while artfully integrating a modern high tech aesthetic that acknowledges the cutting edge research of this unique military site. The design responds appropriately to the unique qualities of the New Mexico environment creating a high performance building that is in tune with its environment. Rugged local stone, warm eifs walls with deeply recessed windows are combined with perforated metal brise soleils and large glass walls that flood the open office areas with day light and views.
