As a departure from the typical school design, Dingeman Elementary embraces technology and community.  The school is a joint-use effort with the City of San Diego Parks and Recreation.  Classroom design takes advantage of the local climate to create secure grade specific outdoor activity/learning areas for all students. Incorporating the latest technology throughout, the media center is a focal point of the surrounding classrooms and connects the entire school via a fiber optic network.
